it figuratively kills me to say this, but TFL has the best video of the renegade off road right now.

I really wanna watch the video, but I also don't want to give TFL another view ….. decisions.

out of curiousity, what is the issue with TFL? I am just blissfully unaware of drama today in many situations

I really wish you could get the 1.6 with the trailhawk package.

Goddamn I like this thing. Give me a brown or gunmetal trail hawk with a 6 speed, throw some chunky rubber and a rack with a light bar on this thing and I would 100% rock it.

its a so-so production with big views, somehow, which means they seem to get all the new cars first. My beef is that they get the cars but the condition of them getting them first is that they are usually press ride alongs, or are boring one dimensional tests but the videos are like 15 minutes long with no real content...plus the hosts are painful to listen too. Its like the opposite of DRIVE or PETROLICIOUS were you get one really good review of a really good car in a really cool way every once and a while, and usually long after the magazines have published.

no 6 speed with the trailhawk sadly. Chunk rubber and some skid plates would be a fun add though.

meh, I think the 2.4 is going to be the right engine for the trailhawk.

Goddamnit you're right... They only give you a third pedal on the cheap ones! I guess it's because only the us gets the 2.4 and they figure no one here will buy the top spec with a stick. Still. Damn you, Jeep Fiat!

You can get the 1.4 in limited trim with the stick, but the trailhwak required the 9 speed to get the 20:1 "Low Range" gearing. basically a shorter final 4.343:1 times the 1st gear of 4.7:1 gets you 20:1. My guess is that when you aren't in "low" that the transmission just starts you out in 2nd and skips 1st all together.

Thats probably it. Plus all the automated terrain response stuff probably works better when the car has control of the transmission, grip informed shift points working with active suspension and such.

Still. A guy can dream.

Basically they put out one video per day even if the car is horrible and they have reviewed it twice already. They sacrifice quality and originality just to get tons of videos out there. Although Nathan is much better than Roman.
